Bumpy

Bumpy

It was not easy time for me. I didn’t know what I like and what I dislike. I felt very miserable and nobody could understand me. I knew that I had to do something, but I didn’t know what it was.

Wandering around the town was the only activity I had been doing for a long time. One day I saw a little yellow box on the pavement. No one was around so I approached it and opened it. There was a little puppy in it. It was trembling, hungry and cold. I took the box with me and carried it home.  I gave the puppy some milk and wrapped it in some cloth I found in the garage. The puppy felt better after a few minutes and started wagging its tail. I decided to keep it and give it a name. It wasn’t easy to think of appropriate name for such a tiny creature, but at last something crossed my mind.

"We could call him Bumpy since I bumped into him while I was wandering around," I thought.

My parents agreed to keep him in the garage until he grows bigger and I put him in a basket so he couldn’t escape at night.

When Bumpy grew up, I built him a kennel in the garden and started taking him for a walk. It was better to walk him than to go alone. One day we went to the park where other people walked their dogs. Bumpy saw a few dogs playing and joined them. I was waiting on a nearby bench and didn’t notice when somebody sat next to me.

“Is it your dog?” she asked me.

“Yes, that little one,” I answered with joy.

I met Stacey that day and since then we have been walking our dogs together as often as we can.
