What is this

When I opened my eyes I was struck by the scene. The whole room was covered with purple foam. My blanket was impossible to see, my face was under this strange substance. What on earth has happened?

I shouted Jenny’s name a few times, but nobody responded. I got up and opened the door of my room. To my surprise the hall was as normal as usually. Since I couldn’t shake off the foam, I went to the bathroom and had a shower. I went back to my room and opened the door. Everything was the same, so I took a vacuum cleaner and started collecting the bubbles. In the end, I cleaned the room so the whole thing wasn’t so bad since I don’t do it very often. I went to school and forgot about it.

When I came back home my parents were a bit anxious. They immediately asked me what had happened in the morning? 

“You know Jake, the police came here for the inspection, but they didn’t find anything. The neighbours told me. ” my mum said.

“I didn’t do anything. Why did they come?” I said.

Everybody was confused. We were thinking about what happened here that made the police visit us. Then I suddenly remembered the foam and told them.

My dad said: “I know! The fire alarm has sent the message to the police station. What did you burn Jake?”

“Nothing … Err… Err … I might have left a lit candle overnight. It probably turned the fire alarm on.”

Finally we realized what happened that morning and felt relief. My mum was happy because I thoroughly cleaned my room.
