Lesson 2 

Battery

 

 

 

 

 

If you want to do little electronic projects you will need power supply, i.e. battery. The battery is a source of direct electric current. I will try to explain all elements using water, including the battery. 

As you can see in the picture, the battery would be a tank filled with water and raised at some height. That HEIGHT will represent the POTENTIAL of the battery (it is marked with U) and measured in units called volts (V). We can use Meters as a unit, i.e. the height at which the water tank is put, measured from the ground. We can imagine that the Potential (U) is the pressure of water and the higher the tank is, the pressure will be bigger.
